1,000 free minutes with Ultra Mobil

Today, Ultra Mobile is helping its subscribers call all over the world for free. Today, Ultra Mobile is giving every one of its customers 1,000 minutes per month of free international calls.
Call over 70 countries and send unlimited SMS to more than 190 countries. This plan includes free calls to India and other popular destinations including Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, Nigeria, and Vietnam.
Ultra claims that its customers can now call 70 percent of the world’s population for free – or 3.3 billion mobile subscribers.

Ultra went live in October 2012 and has a range of pricing plans. The cheapest starts at $19/month for 250 voice minutes (plus the 1,000), unlimited global texting and 50 MB of data.
In an interview with FierceWireless, Chris Furlong, Ultra Mobile’s executive vice president of product development and marketing, said “we really want to make international calling like a call anywhere else.”

WhatsApp to Offer Free Calls

I bet most of you are familiar with WhatsApp. It’s one of the most popular group messaging apps out there. My friends have used it for years.
Since its founding in 2009, WhatsApp has maintained its simple approach – no frills, “no ads, no games, no gimmicks” said CEO Jason Koum.
But last week Koum announced that WhatsApp will expand to provide free voice calls sometime in the second quarter of 2014. The new feature will roll out on Android and iOS devices first and eventually make its way to Windows Phone and Blackberry.
WhatsApp
WhatsApp will have a lot of competition in Viber, Line and BBM but Koum is confident. “We use the least amount of bandwidth and optimize the hell out of it,” Koum said.
WhatsApp has 450 million users worldwide and engagement rates at over 70%. No wonder Koum is confident.
You also may have heard that WhatsApp recently got acquired by Facebook for $19 billion. But Koum reiterates that WhatsApp will continue operating independently of Facebook. “There are no planned changes. We can only get our product to a billion or 2 billion users if we continue down the path we started on.”
WhatsApp is free to use for the first year and then $1 per year after that.

Free calls with MobiVoip

MobiVoip is a mobile calling application for those of you who want to make free calls – who don’t want to overpay anymore for telephone calls.
MobiVoip lets users make free voice and video calls to other MobiVoip users. It also lets you send free SMS to other MobiVoip users.
Further, MobiVoip lets you call non MobiVoip users for extremely low rates. Why? Because MobiVoip wants you to stay connected to your friends and family all over the world.
mobivoip
MobiVoip uses a telephone number as a universal authentication ID meaning you’ll be able to register on the app in seconds. Start making free calls instantly. Additionally, MobiVoip automatically tells you which of your contacts are already using the app so you can make free calls with them.
MobiVoip works silently in the background of your phone and automatically receives all incoming calls and texts, so you’ll never miss a message from anyone. It will also let you know if any of your contacts joins the app.
MobiVoip claims you could save up to 90% of your telephone bill by using its app. MobiVoip supports 3G, 4G, EDGE and Wi-Fi connections. Invite friends to MobiVoip and receive calling credits to reach those not on the app.

Free Calls with Facebook Messenger on Android

Facebook just released version 4.0 of their communications app Facebook Messenger for Android. One of the updates included in version 4.0 is free calls.
Now a blue phone icon appears in the top right corner of the chat window. Click on it to call the contacts you’re talking to. The calls are free over Wi-Fi, otherwise standard data rates apply. You can use Facebook Messenger on Android to make free calls to anyone else who is on the app regardless of where they are in the world.

Version 4.0 also introduces the ability to create Groups and name them, and set group photos to keep in touch with the people you message most. You can now also forward text messages and photo messages from within conversations by pressing on them.
Finally, the new app brings with it Conversation Shortcuts, which allows you to talk with your contacts right on your homescreen. To do this, tap the menu button and select Create Shortcut.
Download the update through the Google Play Store and enjoy free calls to anywhere in the world!

Free calls with Mo+

There are many free calling apps out there. If you’re looking to find one, freecallsto is the place to start. This week we bring you Mo+, a free app that lets users make free calls and send free SMS.
Mo+ is new and definitely stands out from the pack.  Mo+ lets users make free calls and texts to other Mo+ users as well as to contacts that do not have the app installed on their phone. That’s a big difference between Mo+ and a Viber/Line.
Mo+ also has a walkie talkie function. Pair a handset with the app and use them as walkies talkies. Another standout feature.
mo+
The app works even when you don’t have mobile connection because it runs over VoIP or data.
You can also personalize the app a lot. Create your own profile and also set your favorite wallpaper to serve as background for your calls and texts. This app allows more personalization than most others.
It’s also simple and easy to use. It’s available for Android and iOS. The app makers say you can start making free calls and sending free texts with a minimum amount of taps.
The app also replaces calling cards because calls are free.
Some users have claimed sound quality isn’t as good as others, but other users say it’s great.
Verdict is this is an app worth checking out.

Tuenti app adds free calls

The popular Spanish social network Tuenti just released a new version of its native iPhone app that now lets users make free calls.
Tuenti Android users have been able to make free calls since June 2013.
This update, version 4.3, also lets users make free calls via Chrome and Opera platforms, allowing Tuenti users to communicate using any device.  Take Tuenti with you wherever you go.
voip_english
Tuenti wants users to share their lives with their real friends. Users see photos and updates from the people that matter. Real friends sharing real life.
Millions of people already use Tuenti. They sent real time messages for free to each other and now will be able to send real time calls for free.
Everything users do on Tuenti is private. It’s not shared over the internet. That adds to piece of mind.

Skype Group Video Calls Now Free

Big news in the VoIP world announced last week. Skype will now provide group video calling capabilities for free.
Previously, at least one caller on a group video call needed a subscription to Skype Premium which cost $8.99/month to organize a group video call. In comparison, Google Hangouts has offered this service for free for many years now.
This move by Skype hurtles the company back into competition for the best communications platform. Group video calling is free on Skype’s desktop version for the Windows Skype clients, Macs, and the Xbox One. There is also support for additional platforms – including the Modern UI Skype app installed into Windows 8.1 – which is coming in the future.
The Skype group video call supports three to ten participants. The company says five or fewer people allows for the best experience though.
group_video_call
But this free announcement isn’t the only perk of Skype’s recent roll out. Windows Phone 8.1 will feature Skype integration, which will allow you to easily transfer a traditional voice call over to a video chat as long as both callers have Skype installed on their phones.
Skype also improved the performance of its mobile apps and cross-platform message syncing earlier in 2014.
Everyone better watch out! Skype is coming for ya!

Make free calls with magicJack

Some of you may be familiar with magicJack. The company provides a device that connects to a home computer modem or computer for low-cost monthly phone service through VoIP calling. But magicJack also has a mobile app that’s absolutely free.
The magicJack app allows users to make free calls to any U.S. and Canadian phone number. Callbacks are also free. That way recipients know a human is on the other end and not a robocaller.
Of course, magicJack users can also make free calls to any other magicJack user, anywhere in the world. If you’re in the United States and your friend is in India, you can call that friend as long as both of you are using the magicJack mobile app.
MagicJack Android
magicJack works with 4G service or data, so users will save money that they’d normally spend on plans with traditional wireless providers.
The magicJack free calls app requires no purchase at all. Setting up a profile is easy.
If you’re traveling or need to call friends and family in other countries, try using magicJack!
Available for Android and iOS.

Make free calls (anywhere!) with AireTal

AireTalk is an amazing and contemporary communications app. On the surface it’s your standard VoIP app with free calls and free SMS to other users, but the app offers much more than that. For a limited time, AireTalk is providing free international and domestic phone calls to any landline or mobile phone for its users. That means users can make free calls to anyone in the world even if they don’t use AireTalk!
AireTalk has been offering free calls to anyone in North America and Mexico since April 2014, and recently announced it will expand the complimentary service globally.
“We are excited to offer this service to our customers since no other app currently offers free international calls. We want to seamlessly connect people from across the globe with our communication features,” states Stanley Wang, PingShow CEO.
AireTalk already lets users text, video call, locate, transfer files, walkie talkie, and send voice/video messages all for free within the app.
airetalk
AireTalk uses VoIP technology and PingShow’s (its developer) cloud servers. The app is available for Android, iOS and PC.
AireTalk has seen about one million downloads, and more and more people are using the app. AireTalk can be installed for free from any app store to any mobile device. Once you download the app, users can connect with their contacts or Facebook friends.
The company also has big plans for the future. They intend on releasing hardware devices installed with AireTalk that connects to the television and home phone. Users will be able to communicate through any device in their home via the AireTalk ecosystem.

Make free calls with Call Recorder

We at freecallsto want you to make free calls.

callrecorder
You can save your recorded items – lock them to prevent your phone auto-cleaning and removing them.
You can also share your recorded calls with others.
If you don’t want to save the recorded call, you can discard it.
Does anyone use Call Recorder? Is recording calls important to you?

Make free calls with new app – Nanu

Nanu is a new app that lets users make free calls to anyone, anywhere, and they aim to compete with giants like Skype and Viber.
Nanu separates itself by consuming less bandwidth than other VoIP apps. This means that users in areas where only 2G is available will still be able to make high quality calls successfully. These people are in rural and developing markets and could greatly benefit from Nanu.
Right now, all Nanu-Nanu mobile calls are free. But it’s also possible to dial non-Nanu users (mobile and landline) in 73 different locations around the world. The first 15 minutes to non-Nanu users are free to the first one million people who download Nanu.

Seamless Android Free Calls App – Zip Phone

Zip Phone is taking free calls to the next level. The new app seamlessly integrates into your Android phone, creating a passive free calling experience.
If you read this blog, you’ll know there are many VoIP apps out there – Skype, Viber, Line being major ones. Almost all of them have one thing in common – to use the app you need to launch it, sign in, see who’s online, then dial from within the app. Zip Phone is different. It’s an “invisible app.”
“With Zip Phone, you just need to have it installed on your phone once, and that’s it. My philosophy is that you should never have to look at my app again,” says Anuj Jain, the company’s founder.
Play store screenshots_25july14-01
Zip Phone deeply integrates into Android operating systems. The app becomes part of your default calling experience. Zip Phone detects when you’re on Wi-Fi and takes over the default Android dialer when it sees the other person you are dialing also has Zip Phone. Calls can be routed over Wi-Fi or cellular, so both users don’t need to be on one or the other.
Play store screenshots_25july14-05
Additionally, Zip Phone provides secure calling. The app automatically encrypts calls using a combination of encryption methods (RSA, 256-bit AES encryption). No one can listen into your calls on Zip Phone, including the company itself. Zip Phone creates a new encryption key for each phone call. The keys are never stored on your phone’s server, so no one can eavesdrop in.
Zip Phone recently launched an iPhone version, but it works like a traditional VoIP app – you have to launch it to make calls.

Free calls and free texts new with T-Mobile

Last week in San Francisco, T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere took the stage and announced his company’s newest addition to “Uncarrier.” Every phone T-Mobile sells from here on out will come with free Wi-Fi calling and texting.
The upgrade will require no setup for users at all. It will require no apps or new usernames either. It’s just built in. T-Mobile is clearly forging a path towards the future.
If current customers want to upgrade to the free calling service, T-Mobile is opening an exclusive window for users to do so. Even if customers don’t qualify for an upgrade yet.
If you start a call on Wi-Fi and walk out of range during the call, LTE will pick up the call seamlessly. Apple discussed this specific aspect of the plan at its iPhone event last week.
T-Mobile is also passing out “Personal CellSpots,” a router that allows users to take advantage of Wi-Fi calling wherever they are. For certain subscribers, the device will be available for free after a $25 deposit.
T-Mobile is catching on to the Wi-Fi calling movement.
